DAY 35

DAY 35:

Second last day staying here. Receive a lot of presents from our China Buddy. So sweet of them. To think that they would actually buy something for me to bid farewell is just so touching. In the afternoon around 2 p.m. they bring us to Duck River to barbecue. But the funny thing...... they forget to bring the fire starter and a lighter. So it was a total disaster trying to start the fire. A TOTAL FAILURE!

Us trying to start the fire.

Look at Birthday boy's face

We then celebrated the birthday boy's special day. Instead of barbecuing the food we bought, we went to the kitchen to deep-fry them instead. We ate until we were super full. It was a fun destroying Raihan's face with cake. HAHAHA!

Next we went to see the fireworks up close at Duck River. The fireworks were beautiful and there was like 4 box of them.

After that we went to classroom 505 to exchange gifts with our lovely Miss Lin. We are fortunate to have her as our teacher, our caretaker and our SISTER! HAHAHA! But it is sad that she could not send us to the airport tomorrow. So most probably this will be our last time seeing her but I hope I am wrong. It is getting late but I still have to catch up with my IS report so goodbye my fellow readers.

DAY 34

DAY 34:

Today went to GuangHan for shopping. Planning to waste every cents left in my wallet as today is probably the last time I can even shop. Thinking about leaving this place just makes me feel really sad. Left with only two days here. Going to miss this place real bad. Hope that I am able to visit this place again. I love how the weather here is like forever cold unlike Singapore it is super hot. And the things here are all so cheap! But sadly, everything ends eventually especially this wonderful trip that I did not regret on applying as I have learned a lot of things.

DAY 33

DAY 33:

Today is  my roommate's, Raihan, birthday. Finally legal! Oh, and bitrhday bash of course! HAHAHA! So we celebrated his birthday by treating him a meal today. After that we toured around the school found a place we have never been there before. There was a pond with full of tadpoles inside so we caught a few.

Tadpole that we caught is kept in a container. Spot a goldfish? By the way, it is Fiona's goldfish.

The tadpoles are is really cute. If only I can bring it back to Singapore. Don't worry, we are going to release it back to the same place where we caught it tomorrow. We are eft with two days here. Sigh, going to miss this place real bad once we leave!)':

DAY 32

DAY 32:

Today, woke early for IS presentation. I find that when I present in front of everyone I tend to get all nervous and my hands start to shake and eventually I cannot control my whole body. Is this normal? I really need to stop this stage fright issue of mine. It is even worst than the last time. Let me get back to our presentation. I think that our presentation was a bit dry but group-wise I find that my group did fine although we could have done better. But I feel that the best presentation was Kenneth's group. They manage to get our attention almost all the time as their presentation was quite interesting. Their hard work really did paid off.

My group presenting. "TAOISM"

Pretty much this is it. Catch up on all the school work and that is it.(=

DAY 31

Day 31:

Today is the day that I am most looking forward of. Today is the day that I want my hands to not be able to carry any more stuffs due to all the shopping bags as we are going to Chengdu's shopping paradise for SHOPPING! It was a two hours bus ride from school. It was not really that far but due to the traffic jam, it took a little while longer to reach there. Once we reach there we had our late breakfast also called brunch. We had KFC there. After so long of Kentucky Fried Chicken cravings, I finally get my hands on one.  It was not fulfilling though. Enough said let's move on to the shopping. There was a lot of branded shops there. One of them is Zara. Did not buy anything from there as the clothes were super expensive. So we decided to move further in front but the prices started to increase and increase. But me and my friend saw a place where we can have a full-body massage. Since our whole body is aching from the long 2 hours walk we decided to have an hour of massage.

The people that massage us.

After the relaxing massage, we decided to walk back. And you know what, we finally found cheap places to shop! But we are only left with an hour! So we had to rush and just pick whatever we find nice and quickly pay up as time is running out. In the end, it did not turn out to be what I expected to be as I reach back school with only one shopping bag. Sadly we have to return to our dorms to further discuss about our IS presentation which is about Taoism. I felt that for some people, they might feel a little bit dry as we will talk more on it's history. But I hope that I do not mess up on my part as I have a huge stage fright. This is basically all for today.

DAY 30

Day 30:

Went to class for Strength of Material presentation in the morning. I find that my presentation started and ended quite smoothly so everything seems fine. Here are some of the groups that I think did quite well too.

Randall and Bryan
Yun Qi and Vivian
In the afternoon, we are brought to the Mechanical Engineering workshop. Inside the workshop there were engines, a car and a lot of machines that I have never seen before. This clearly means that I have a lot to learn. But don't worry. Even if I take baby steps, someday and someway I will reach to the top if I put in enough effort.

Greeted by the students here.

A picture of an engine.

A machine that I have no idea of it's use.

After touring the workshop. At night there was a farewell concert. There were a lot of performances from them. But some of us did some performances as well. We all did a total of three Performances. We did only singing. The songs that we sang were "The Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars, "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry and "One Thing" by One Direction. We really did had fun but having 5 days left here is really sad. Nevertheless, here are some of the best performances:

Pretty and Handsome Emcees! Justin looking real GOOD!

 She sang quite a hard song to sing which is "Halo" by Beyonce and she pulled it off. Simply pure talent. Plus, she is quit cute. (;

Another interesting performance put up by them.

Coco and Li Jia. Going to miss them when we leave.):

Fun is all over. Get back to dorm and have to finish the 2000 word assignment and discuss further about IS presentation with group. Sigh, super exhausted

DAY 29

Day 29:

"7 a.m. waking up in the morning. Got to be fresh and got to go downstairs" - Rebecca Black
Yes I LOVE this song! But I really did woke up at 7 a.m. to have some breakfast downstairs. So I can actually relate to this song. HAHAHA! But anyways, I had normal morning and afternoon lessons. And when everything is done, we are reminded to gather at 4.30 p.m. downstairs as the school had planned a farewell dinner. They brought us to a restaurant that served us amazing food cuisines. I instantly fall in love with the aroma of the food. The food tasted tasted like heaven! Oh and the ducks.... I'm hungry now just thinking about it. It is truly finger licking good. Here are pictures of the dishes:

After everyone had done eating, we had to rush back to school as we have to get ready for tomorrow's Strength of Material's presentation. Our presentation is about catapult because catapult can be quite interesting and we might be able to grab people's attention. That is about all for today.

DAY 28

DAY 28:

No lessons. Absolutely free time today. So me, Raihan, Jasper, Junbin, Shaw Yeong and two of our China friends went to KTV for some singing practices for tomorrow as we have a performance. We are going to sing "The Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars. So we have to get our voices ready and all prepared on the day itself. Had a really fun day as we did not have enough breaks lately from school works and school trips. Here is a picture of us singing in the KTV:

After everything is over, we get back to our dorms to catch up with all our blog posts, tutorials and assignments. So wish me luck. :D

DAY 27

DAY 27( BEST EXPERIENCE OF WEEK 4):

Today was a mountainous day. Today was the day that I feel like cutting off my leg. But let me start from the beginning. It was 6.50 a.m. and we all had to gather downstairs. Yes, it is that early. But let me first just say that it was worth it.

First we went to visit DuJiangYan. A lot of us went to buy the "instant prata" but there is only one thing that we are missing! It is Indian Curry!): But the so called prata here reminds me of Singapore's food. I really miss Singapore's food. Mee Goreng, Nasi Lemak, Murtabak... Oh my god, just thinking about it makes me feel crazily hungry. Here is some of the pictures when we visited DuJiangYan:

Entrance of DuJiangYan

Guess who is this charming boy?

Fish-mouth River

Ming Chiang River

A statue of an old man

The shaky bridge that i find scary to walk through.

After we are done sight seeing here. We are off to our next destination which is Qing Cheng Mountain. This is when I just want to cut my legs off but it was worth the experience climbing the mountain. It was about 1.3 km high if I am not wrong. I find myself really unfit so this is quite a good exercise for me too. Let the pictures get down and bussiness:

Entrance to Qing Cheng Mountain!

After entering through the entrance, we have to walk up to the cable car station but for those people who are really lazy to walk, at some point of time they can take the boat.

Lazy people taking the boat.

After the long walk to the cable car station, we waited for our tour guide, Vivian, to give us the ticket. Each cable car can fit 8 people. So me and my other 7 friends could only fit in a cable car. Sadly the cable car ride is just short.

The cable car that we are taking

A shot of selfie in the cable car.

A sign that can only be see when looking out the window of a cable car

When arrive to the next station, we had to climb higher and higher. It is really exhausting!

A temple near the peak.

I guess throwing money in gives you luck? So i throwed in $50.

Beautiful scenery.

TORTOISE.

mesmorised by the scenery again.

Jaw dropping scenery.

FINALLY the peak!

Once we are done with photo taking session, we have to go back down once again. I find that going up is easier than going down. Ms. Lin find that we prefer fast food restaurants than the typical China food that we are always brought to. So she decided to bring us to Dicos. But Dicos didn't hep to fulfill my empty stomach after all the hiking. We ended up eating again in school. Overall, it was a great experience and someday, surely  would want to climb up a mountain again.

DAY 26

DAY 26:

Today lesson as per normal. OH! And my shoe that I bought online had arrived! But... Sadly I bought the wrong size. It is like 2 size bigger. Luckily, Zi Yang feet was larger than mine so he bought the shoe from me. Nothing much really happen today so I am just going to end this post right here.

DAY 25

DAY 25:

After the afternoon class, me and my friends played 11-aside soccer match with the China students. We had a lot of fun with them but I am too embarrase to talk about the final score. If you really insist. Well... we lost 5 to nail. HAHAHA! Well, they are really good you know! But luckily we had to go off half way through the game as the Electical Engineering students of this school organised a cultural activities for us. If it wasn't for this, I bet we would have been trashed more like 20 to nail. Anyways, let's get back to the activity. The activity comprises of three mini games. First of all the musical chair. They needed five volunteers from us. From how I can remember it was Camden, Jeremy, Louis and a whole bunch more. The first musical chair game we playedit was a tie between Camden and Jeremy so they both i the end won a prize. It was an orange if I could recall. The second game sadly we didn't win as Louis was quite slow. HAHAHA! But it was nice that he participated. The second gamewas th pirate dress up game. I feel that the Electrical Engineering student have a better pirate but in some way we won. Last but not least, it was the water pouring game. 10 of us volunteered and everyone who participated in the end gets wet. But it was worth the fun. After the games was over, it was back to soccer! And we played with different people this time. They are much older this time, around thirty plus years old, and the good thing about this is they are a lot more slower than the school's team. It was an enjoyable day but at the same time tiring. Muscle is aching really bad so it was time to head to our dormitries and take a rest.
